Why We Built
Ringgit Collective
It started with stocks. It became something much bigger. Because real financial literacy isn’t about one thing. It’s about the whole picture.
From a Stock Market Chat Group to Malaysia’s Financial Community
I started Titan Trading as a passion project. A place to talk about Bursa Malaysia, US markets, Hong Kong stocks. The things I genuinely cared about. Over 5 to 6 years, what started as a chat group grew into a licensed operation. SC Licensed marketing representative. Broker partnerships with moomoo MY, Webull MY, UOBKH and more. A community of over 5,000 Malaysians talking about the market together.
But along the way, something started bothering me.
I had a law degree from the University of London. I understood compliance, regulation, the fine print. And yet I had been thinking about financial literacy the same narrow way most people do. As if it was just about picking the right stocks. It isn’t. Financial literacy is about the whole ecosystem. Insurance protects what you build. EPF and unit trusts grow it quietly in the background. Property gives you hard assets. Credit cards and loans, used right, are tools. Used wrong, they’re traps.
“Everyone was doing their own thing in their own silo. Stock gurus only talked stocks. Insurance agents only pushed policies. Property investors thought the stock market was a scam. And if you wanted honest credit card advice, you had to deal with a banker or scroll a comparison site with no human on the other end.“
I looked around and couldn’t find a single place that brought all of this together for Malaysians. Not a comparison site. Not a course. A real community with licensed, trusted partners in every domain, where you could get proper human advice on all of it in one place.
So I built Ringgit Collective. Coming from a stock market background, evolving into something that covers the full financial picture. The community I wish had existed when I was figuring my own finances out.
How We Got Here
Our Values
Everything we do is guided by these principles. They aren’t corporate values written in a boardroom. They came from building this community from the ground up.
